The examples of the pictures in this book were a big deciding factor for me and they didn't disappoint. They were nicely sized, well rendered and showed important details. When the book arrived, I was surprised by its size. It's over

Richly illustrated with 71 colour plates and additional black-and-white drawings, it describes the birds' appearance, voice, habitat, behaviour (including nests and eggs), and distribution. Introductory chapters give background information.
