The pictures are good, and each entry contains a description of possible symptoms and treatments (which I assume are correct). As a diagnostic, this book seems very useful and something you should have around.
However, as a new pasture owner, I found it incredibly alarmist. So m

Keep this book in the medicine cabinet in the barn. Walk around the pastures with the book in hand, especially in late spring or early summer. Or pack it with on on a trail ride. It just might save your horse's life. The book is organized according to types of plants---trees, bushes shrubs and vines, ferns and plants, weeds and wildflowers and grasses and horsetails.
